Various Reinstatement Scenarios

When a member is reinstated, the message that will be displayed to you depends on various state of affairs

  • Scenario 1:
    • Members reinstated within 45 days from the drop date
    • Join/Rejoin date not changed
    • Member type not changed

The message that will be displayed "Member member name, member ID xxxxxxxxxx under Local ID Lxxxx has been reinstated as member type xxxxxx without a break in service on (current date) xxxxxxxxxx. It is your Local’s responsibility to ensure dues are being deducted from this member’s paycheck or are being collected through other means. The reinstatement on this website alone does not automatically begin dues collection through the agency"

  • Scenario 2:
    • Members reinstated within 45 days from the drop date
    • Join/Rejoin date not changed
    • Member type changed

The message that will be displayed "Member member name, member ID xxxxxxxxxx under Local ID Lxxxx has been reinstated as member type xxxxxx without a break in service on (current date) xxxxxxxxxx. It is your Local’s responsibility to ensure dues are being deducted from this member’s paycheck or are being collected through other means. The reinstatement on this website alone does not automatically begin dues collection through the agency"

  • Scenario 3:
    • Members reinstated within 45 to 90 days from the drop date
    • Join/Rejoin date not changed
    • Member type changed

The message that will be displayed "Member member name, member ID xxxxxxxxxx under Local ID Lxxxx has been reinstated as member type xxxxxx without a break in service on (current date) xxxxxxxxxx. Your local will be retroactively billed PCT for this reinstatement back to the drop date xxxxxxxxxx. It is your Local’s responsibility to ensure dues are being deducted from this member’s paycheck or are being collected through other means. The reinstatement on this website alone does not automatically begin dues collection through the agency."

  • Scenario 4:
    • Members reinstated within 45 days from the drop date
    • Join/Rejoin date not changed
    • Member type changed 'Special Retired affiliate' 

The message that will be displayed "Member was retired and can be reinstated only as retired without break in services"

  • Scenario 5:
    • Members Drop date in a different month than current date
    • Change Join/ rejoin date greater than the drop date and within 45 days from today's date
    • Member type not changed

The message that will be displayed "Member member name, member ID xxxxxxxxxx under Local ID Lxxxx has been reinstated as member type xxxxxx with a New Initiation date xxxxxxxxxx. It is your Local’s responsibility to ensure dues are being deducted from this member’s paycheck or are being collected through other means. The reinstatement on this website alone does not automatically begin dues collection through the agency."

  • Scenario 6:
    • Members Drop date in a different month than current date
    • Change Join/ rejoin date greater than the drop date and within 45 to 90 days from today's date
    • Member type not changed

The message that will be displayed "Member member name, member ID xxxxxxxxxx under Local ID Lxxxx has been reinstated as member type xxxxxx with a New Initiation date xxxxxxxxxx. The message that will be displayed "This member cannot be reinstated as a retired member with a break in service. Please enter the original Join/Rejoin date xxxxxxxxxx."

  • Scenario 10
    • Members Drop date in the same month as reinstatement date
    • Join/Rejoin date not changed
    • Member type not changed

The message that will be displayed "Member member name, member ID xxxxxxxxxx under Local ID Lxxxx has been reinstated as member type xxxxxx without a break in service on xxxxxxxxxx. It is your Local’s responsibility to ensure dues are being deducted from this member’s paycheck or are being collected through other means. The reinstatement on this website alone does not automatically begin dues collection through the agency."

  • Scenario 11
    • Members Drop date in the same month as reinstatement date
    • Join/Rejoin date not changed
    • Member type changed
